Rare Regal Horned Lizard
Rare lizard VERY SPECIAL OOAK Ready to ship!! www.letterstolaluna.com discounted price
This listing is for a glass dome of an Arizona desert lizard I found hiking. It is a mummified skeleton of a Regal Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma solare). these guys used to be common In Tucson two decades ago but now they are scarse and rare to find. this was an incredibly lucky find to find this partial skeleton in nature. judging from the size of this skeleton this majestic lizard had a long full complete life and died from old age. This piece is very special. There are two mummified mushrooms in there with him as well that I hand picked form Mt Lemmon a place I love to mushroom hunt here in Tucson during monsoon season. there is a beautiful aura quartz crystal point and pretty mosses and flowers.
He makes an excellent educational science gift / specimen, also makes perfect unique gift for oddity and curiosity collectors, natural history, educational specimens, witch altars, or taxidermy lovers.
✨✨((All specimens ethically and sustainably sourced please read my message near the bottom of this listing if you would like to know more))✨✨
It will come lovingly packaged with care for safe trasport.
🔮💀BONE MAGIC HISTORY AND USES:
** Skulls & bones **
in particular not only look cool and make good scientific decor,
but they serve as the protectors of the consciousness, making them excellent tools for spirit work and divination.
Historically, bones have been used in folk-medicine, divination, and spirit work.
Apart of divination, bones have also historically been used for protection. Across Europe, horse skulls have been found buried under churches, home hearths, in walls, chimneys, and even under threshing barn floors.
Bones have also commonly been used in folk medicine.
Today, skulls and bones are used for a variety of purposes. Skulls and bones can be used as a holding vessel during spirit work, whether by the spirit of the animal who originally inhabited the body, by other animals of the same species, or by other spirits entirely. Summoning or invoking a spirit to the vessel can aid you in your communion or spellwork by allowing you to draw from their qualities, especially those of animals. In ancestor work, the animal spirits inhabiting the bones can act as mediators, messengers, and even guardians or protectors during ancestral work or spellwork. As mentioned above, skulls can be used for divination by gazing into the eye sockets or even into the base of the skull. Being the seat of consciousness, any images or messages received are thought to be from the spirit inhabiting the skull. You may want to check your results with other divinatory methods to confirm the results. Furthermore, bones can be used as ritual adornments, ritual tools, in sachets or witch balls, as altar decorations, bone tarot, and other forms of spellwork that require the characteristics of the animal whose bones you are using.
It is believed that deer spirit are able to be able to cross easily between realms making deer bones such as antlers wonderful bones to keep around.
In the end, there is a myriad of uses for bones in your craft, from spells to rituals to spirit communication. I believe the spirit of the animal the way it died will inhabit the bone so be careful where you get your bones.
I can only condone ethical practices of bone magick as the spirit of the animal will inhabit the bones the way they died. So natural / ethical deaths and respect to the animal and it’s life is the way I find bones only. I would never condone hurting an animal for the sake of art or sport. I love animals and I value every part of them. I’m grateful for what they leave behind when they pass from this world onto the next. And I bless every bone with love and gratitude thankful for sharing it with us.
If you do come across animal remains in nature, approach it with respect and caution. Disease is a big factor, but the spirit may still be hanging out around. If you sense that it is, ask if you may approach and touch the bones. If its a no, simply thank the animal for its time, leave an offering and move along. If it does allow you to touch it, make your intentions clear and known and ask if you may take a bone or several with you for your magical workings. As of yet, I haven’t been told no! You may find the bones are empty, especially if they have been there a while. I would still approach respectfully.

🐺✨🔮No animals were harmed in the making of this jar or anything in my shop. All the bones and the porcupine foot was collected ethically from an ethical source that provides bones or animal parts salvaged from the remains of animals who have died naturally.
I provide them to you here out of respect and love for the animals in honor of their life as a nature keepsake to be adored and cherished.
✨ This specimen as well as all the once living creatures in my shop have been ethically and sustainably sourced from preserved natural forests all over the world where they can breed and die naturally.
After a full and fruitful life, they are collected upon their natural passing and sold all over the world. The revenue generated makes it a profitable business. Because of this process that means less deforestations such as forests that are gruesomely being cut down for logging and farming, less animals, and less insects are losing their homes! It is a very good thing all around and no insect or moth or animal that I have in my shop is every hurt in any way. I have thoroughly researched every place I buy my specimens from and would never support any court of animal or insect cruelty. I also do find some specimens foraging in the forests and woods myself as well as the beachside as we are avid travelers! So some of the specimens you will find here are found by my own two hands.
I am the girl that literally saves Every spider, moth, beetle, in my house and puts it outside. (drives my husband a little crazy) I can't hurt any of them. I just love to honor the shells they leave behind as art and celebrate them.
Light and love to you all.
Blessed Be,
Arleigh and Juleigh
